Est. 1-31-28 Fire Burns Cantrell Home This Morning The five room house of Mrs. jJ. A. Cantrell on Saluda road near * the Home Ice Plant w.as partially destroyed by fire this morning about 11 o’clock. The house was occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wilson. The firemen had some dif ficulty in getting water to the fire but they did good work after getting started. Most of the house hold goods were saved. Mrs. Can-« ti’ell lives at Boiling Springs. Red Cross Call Rev. Chas. G. Sewall, ..chairman of the Red Cross Roll Gall, renorts that the returns from the Roll Call yesterday were very encouraging. Final reports have not yet been received from all Tryon committees nor have reports been received )from Columbus and Saluda. Miss Miargie Capps at Missildine’s Pharmacy and Mrs. George A. HENRY The new Baptist pastor, the Rev. B. G. Henry has arrived with his family from Kannapolis. They are occupying the parsonage. Mr. and M'rs. Henry have three chil dren, Brock G., Jr., age 10; Vir ginia, age 8; and Eleanor, age 6, who have entered the Tryon school. Mr. Henry was educated at David son college and for the past sev eral years was superintendent of one of the large schools of the Kannapolis system and was pas tor of the Baptist church at Oak boro.
