Est 1-31-28 Erskine Church Elects Officers For 1938 1 ~ The annual meeting of the Erskine Mjemorial Congregational church was held Wednesday eve ning with a supper at Oak Hall hotel. The early reports show ing the process of the church were read and approved. A special selection was rendered by the choir, the membership sang songs and Dr. C. Arthur Lincoln, the pastor, gave an inspiring talk on the irm portance of worship. The officers for the following year were elect ed as follows: Deacons —A. T. Whittlesey, Deacon Emeritus, J. E. C., THURSDAY, DEC. 2, 1937 Bazaar-Tea Friday A beautiful chain of Christian service is the St. Agnes Guild Bazaar and Tea wheih will be held on Friday afternoon from 3 to 6 o'clock at the Parish House. Persons who attend the tea be come links in this great chain which gives good value in food and fellowship for the price of 25c per plate. Others have made links with the good food they pre pare and serve, still others have made garments, dolls and a va riety of Christmas gifts suitable for men, women and children. These will be on sale to give cheer and happiness to the hundreds, who receive them. The proceeds from the Tea and Bazaar will be spent to carry on the work of the St. Agnes Guild which is well known for its community service. Mrs. Prouty is now writing “Lisa Vale”, sequel to “The White Fawn” com ing out as a serial in l the May Ist American. Story of a middle aged woman and her problems.
