Est. 1-31-28 Theatre Opens On Trade St. Tonight Tryon’s which has been operating temporarily at Sunny dale will open tonight at the regu lar time in the Hiolmes-Calhoun building next to Cowan’s Grocery. A raised floor sloping to the screeil* has been built and the seats from the old theatre install ed. About 250 people can be ac commodated for each showing. The projection booth and machines, the heating equipment and new light ing fixtures have all been put in, and Manager Nessmith states that just as soon as a message is receiv ed from Charlotte at noon he will f advertise in today’s Bulletin the name of the picture to be shown tonight. The price of admission wilHbe 15c and 25c. Christmas Seals Chairman George A. Cathey of the local Christmas Tubercular Seal committee states that these seals are now on sale at Missil dine’s Phax-macy and the Blue Ridge Weavers. Dr. Geoi*ge Farrand Taylor who spoke recently at the Rotary club on recreational activities for the community, will address the Tryon Kiwanis club on Tuesday at 1 p. m., at Hotel Tryon* - • .. . Christoff erson-Leonard Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Helen Christofferson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Christofferson of Neenah, Wis., to Mr. Carroll Leonard, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Leonard of Tryon, which took place Saturday afternoon, Decem ber 4, at 4 o’clock at Holy Cross church here, with the Rev. John A. Pinckney officiating. Appro priate music was played by Mrs. John Ferguson on the church organ. The bride wore robin’s egg blue with Dubonnet accessories, and her corsage was of talisman roses. The couple entered the church togeth er and were unattended. Only relatives and a few friends were present. Immediately after the ceremony the couple left for a week-end trip to Columbia, S. C., after which they will be at home in Tryon. Mr. Leonard is well-known hero, having soent most of his life in Tryon. He is at present engaged in business in Landrum, S. C.
