Est. 1-31-28 Wes Plumley Wesley Plumley, 60, well-known farmer of the Hogback mountain in Upper Greenville coun 'Hs*y, died this morning following a short illness. Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Mountain Hill Bap<- tist church with the Rev. A. T. Howard officiating. The deceased «is survived by his wife, four sons and one daughter as follows: Ed gar, Claud, Fred, Earl and Miss Anna Mjaud. Leaves Hospital John Spurlin, who suffered - severe injuries in an auto-truck crash recently in Saluda has re covered enough to be moved to his home, to which he went on Wed nesday. DEC. 9, 1937 Dates Changed In Order to accommodate other parties the date of the Pine Crest Inn dance has been changed from December 29th to December 27th, the Oak Hall-Pine Crest Inn an nual Christmas Dance will be held at Oak Hall on Wednesday 1 , Dec. 22. This will be an invitational subscription affair with the pro ceeds going to the Helping Hand. A1 Dunn’s orchestra has been se cured for this event. Mfiss Rachel Jackson and Nelson Jackson, 111, will give a dance on Dec. 29th in honor of Miss Betty Chapman of Spartanburg. Other parties and events will be put inj the schedule as soon as dates have been set. Dyer at Rotary H. L. Shelnutt will be in charge of the Rotary club program on Kridav at 1 p. m. at Oak Hall hotel. The Rev. Rolla Dyer, retired Epis copal minister and cabinet-violin maker, will be the guest speaker. TRYON'S SONG: H. B.
