Legion Team Wanted Major W. A. Schilletter requests all Legionnaire Ex-Service men to meet with him on Thursday night at 7:30 at the Tryon Young Men’s Association club room for the pur ,pose of organizing an American Legion junior league baseball team to compete with Spartanburg, Gastonia, Forest City and other cities throughout the nation. These Junior League teams have at tracted national attention. Spartan burg and Gastonia have won the world championship. Rotary Friday Judge Thomas E. Brown will be in charge of the Rotary club program on Friday at 1 p. m., at Oak Hall hotel. The guest speak er will be Prof. Lewis S&yre Burchard, former law professor at the City College of New York. Fishing Licenses R. B. Williams, Polk County Game Protector, state's that the 1938 fishing licenses will be on sale throughout the county on January Ist. Michael Astor is back at Little Orchard while his’ parents, Lord and Lady Astor are visiting in Florida.
