TRYON, N. C„ THURSDAY, FEB. 3, 1938 Marcus L. Nash, Sr. Marcus L. Nash, ST., 65, retired business man of Landrum, died at his home Wednesday night at 12:15 o’clock. Mr. Nash had been in declining health for some time, but had been seriously ill for only a short time. He was born and reared in Laurens county, South Carolina, but had made his home in Landrum for the past 25 years. Mr. Nash is survived by his wife IJrs. Laura Morris Nash, five daughtei's, Mrs. Kemp Davis, Carl- Lie, Penn.; Miss Caroline Nash, High Point, N. C.; Mrs. J. T. Arledge, Tryon; Miss Evelyn Nash, a teacher in Cowpens school; and Miss Mildred Nash, Lajidrum. One sen, Miarcus L. Nash. Jr., and two sisters, MJrs. Effie Boyd and Mrs. Mhry Austin, of Landrum, also survive. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist church in Land rum on Friday at 2:00 p. m., with interment in the church cemetery. Rotary Friday John G. Landrum, Jr., will be in charge of the Tryon Rotary club on Friday at 1 p. m., at Oak Hall hotel. The guest speaker will be Dr. J. H. Boldridge.
