Ballenger, manager of the world’s largest hound show which will be held in Tryon Wed nesday morning on the same day of the Horse Show, states that a new feature of the Horse and Hound Show this year will be the showing of the Hound winners in i he Horse Show ring following the I Hound Show. The names of the winners wil be announced over the loud speakers. Another fea ture will be a horn blowing contest. A horn will be presented to the best horn blower. The Hound Show Judge will be Roger Stone of Lexington, Kentucky. Furman McClure Furman McClure, 71, died this morning at St. Luke's hospital. He had been in ill health for sev eral years. Mr. MicClure was born in the Oak Grove section near here and had spent most of his life in and around Tryon. Funei'al services for Mr. McClure will be held on Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Fairview Bap tist church conducted by Rev. A. T. Howard, pastor of the Oak Grove Baptist church of which Mr. McClure was a member. Rev. T. E. Reid of the Fairview church and Rev. D. M. McGeachy of Tryon will assist. The deceased is survived by hi s wife and one daughter, Mjs. Charlie Hill, of Columbus; two brothers, W. C., and R. J. McClure of Landrum, and two grandchil dren.
