APRIL 16, 1938 Conservation At Kiwanis Tuesday County Agent J. A. Wilson ot Columbus will be the chief speaker at the Tryon Kiwanis club on Tuesday of next week and on Tuesday of the following week. He will outline the Federal Con servation work the first week and follow with a discussion at the next meeting on Tuesday, Converse Glee Club to Give Concert At P.-T. A. Meeting The Tryon Parent Teacher asso ciation will hold its April meet ing on Monday afternoon at the school auditorium at 3:30 o’clock. The Converse college Glee club will give a musical program at the meeting which will be open to the public. Professor Glenn C. Stables, who is director of the Glee club, will bring thirty-five of his best voices to present the concert which Will be a treat to Tryon music lovers. Miss Elizabeth Rogers, who has visited in Tryon a number of times, is the president of the club. Tea will be served at the close of the meeting in the cafeteria by 1 the Home Economics girls and their teacher, Miss 'Helen drews. Court of Honor The Polk County Boy Scout Court of Honor will meet on Mon day at 7:30 at the Parish House. Visitors invited to drop in at any time from 7:30 to 8:30.
