Welcome Address: Henry Mc- Geachy. Alma Mater: Senior class. Poem: Miss Lula Burrell. Commencement Address: Dr. James C. Kinard. Presentation of Diplomas: Mr. D. S. Blois. “Now the Day Is Over”: Senior Class. Valedictory Address: Miss Ruth L^McFarland. Honors for Four Years High “►School Study: First Honor, Ruth McFarland; Second Honor, (tie), Lula Burrell, Henry McGeachy. William Dobbyn, Continued from Page One New Mill Spring School Approved Congressman Zebulon Weaver announced Wednesday that he had received a telegram from the comptroller general at Washington that the WPA project at Mill Spring calling for the addition of a new school building and audi torium at Mill Spring had been approved. The project had al ready met the approval of the dis trict and state officials. Rotary Friday H. L. Shelnutt will be in charge of the Tryon Rotary club program on Friday at 1 p. m., at Sunny dale Log Cabin. Miss Helen Roberts will be the guest speaker of the club. Smith—Rogerson Mr. and Mrs. Claud O. Smith of Liandrum akmoun'ce the en gagement of their daughter, Mary Claudia, to L. A. Rogerson, son of Mrs. Belle Clemmons Rogerson and the late L. A. Rogerson of Andrews, N. C., the wedding to take place in the early summer. I - Fishing Season Opens On Friday, June 10th The fishing season will open on June 10th, on all species of fish.
