Page prop erty adjoining the Mahler’s Chin quapin Farm in the Riding Coun try. This makes the Mahler estate one of the largest in that section, Sale was made through C. J. Lynch. Another big land sale was that of 1,200 acres to Robert N. Gold ing of Lake Forest, 111., who has bought four tracts of the old Wes tall place in Columbus township including 70 acres of the E. W. Dedmond place, adjoining. On the property is a beautiful water fall dropping in steps for about 100 feet. It is little known in the county but is known locally as Swanson’s Falls and is formed by Swanson’s Creek which runs into River. The falls are sur rounded by ferns and evergreens *and is the chief attraction of the property. This sale was made through C. J. Lynch. Mr. Golding expects to visit Tryon sometime in July. Baptist Sunday School Meeting Tomorrow, June 26, at 2:30 p. m., will be the second meeting this year for the Fifth District Sunday school forces. About three months j ago at the Pacolet Baptist church, there was held the first of these meetings which was both instruc tive and inspirational. This meet ing that is planned for tomorrow promises to be even better than the last one. Every church in this district is expected to send a large group of representatives, to Saluda Baptist church for this meeting. Program: Subject, “Evangelism in the Sunday Scool.” Song service—D. G.
