They are so small they can’t stay on your head but an elastic band holds them on in army style. The hats are of natural and colored straw about the size and shape of a big saucer. Leaders of fashion are taking to them with a smile .... Polk County Board of County Commissioners will meet on Tuesday, July sth, instead of the first Mlonday which falls this year on July 4th .... Judge Gentry of Bird Mountain will come up on Tuesday noon to ad dress the Tryon Kiwanis club. . . . . C. P. Rogers who is a candidate in today’s primary for the state legislature started his Tmsiness career after leaving col lege by sweeping floors in a big cotton mill at Union . . . Remem ber the Fourth to keep it Glorious in honor of the country and your reputation.
