Polk County Superior Court opens Monday morning in Columbus with Judge Will Pless presiding and Solicitor Clarence Ridings, repre senting the state. About 100 cases are on the criminal docket to be disposed of. There will be home management and hr ie furnishing demonstration on Mjouday at Green Creek school at 2:30 conducted by Mamie Whisnant, state specialist from Raleigh. Public invited. Then on Tuesday there will be a tour of leading farms and farm homes over the county This weather is perfect now, such nice cool mornings and nights. Reminds you of early October. This is the best time of year to visit Tryon. The Sanitarian B. A. Buff the Rutherford-Polk district sanitarian for Polk coun ty stated Friday that he would be in his office in Columbus every Saturday morning from 9 to 12 noon. He says that he is eager to cooperate with the public in every possible way to make Polk county the most sanitary district ih the state and wants to give a good report of our dairies, hotels, Jafes, restaurants, etc. He savs the WPA officials have already promised him aid in building sani tary privies in the rural sections.
