The hotel must know the exact number of plates to prepare. Chamber of Commerce Meets On Friday A meeting of the Tryon Cham ber of Commerce will be held on Friday evening at 8 o’clock for the purpose of electing officers for the ensuing term. “CURB’’ REPORTER The Misses Fassett left Port land, Maine, on Saturday and will arrive in Tryon soon. This is Labor Day, but only the bank, post office and a few building workers enjoyed it as a holiday .... A large crowd turned out this morning at the opening of Tryon graded school to hear Dr. W. P. Jackson, former Field Secretary of the National Recreational Association .... Pub lius Syrus said, "God looks with favor at pure, not full hands”. . .’. Chief Hague Kiser was busy Saturday having cars moved off Trade street. If employers and employees don’t cooperate it will be necessary to pass parking laws. Whenever any employer or em ployee leaves his car parked all day on Trade street it means that others will follow. . . .
