Meet at Oak Hall
mA joint meeting of the Tryon
and Kiwanis clubs will be

Oak Hall hotel for the purpose
of meeting Miss Sally Stearns and
Hiss Inez Simons, officials of the
Peterboro Players of Peterboro,
N. H., who are here to investigate
Ihe possibilities of bringing their
school of drama to Tryon. Anyone
interested in attending this meet
ing and desiring lunch at 75c

Cne committee on securing a drama
school for Tryon states that it is
very important that all those de
siring to attend the joint Rotary-
Kiwanis meeting on Wednesday
at Oak Hall should make their
reservations at once and be re
sponsible for the price of their
lunch. The hotel must know the
exact number of plates to prepare.
Chamber of Commerce
Meets On Friday
A meeting of the Tryon Cham
ber of Commerce will be held on
Friday evening at 8 o’clock for
the purpose of electing officers for
the ensuing term.

land, Maine, on Saturday and will
arrive in Tryon soon. They re
port seeing the Jerry Drews and
Coach Wallace Wade, and family.

a few building workers enjoyed

the opening of Tryon graded school
to hear Dr. W. P. Jackson, former
Field Secretary of the National

Trade street. If employers and
employees don’t cooperate it will
be necessary to pass parking laws.
Whenever any employer or em
ployee leaves his car parked all
day on Trade street it means that
others will follow. . . . The Polk
County Election Board has order
ed a registration of all voters in
Polk county for the coming elec
