Will Pless, Jr., of Mjarion, non sui ted manslaughter charges against Walter S. Mlontgomerv, prominent Spartanburg, S. C., tex tile manufacturer, in Henderson county superior court Friday af ternoon. The action came after the defense had rested its case and had re newed its motion for a non-suit judgment. The jurist said that the “ends of require that the motion be —Allowed” and expressed the belief that a conviction copld not be ob tained if the case went to the jury. He said he could not conscientious ly allow a conviction to stand even if one were obtained. District Soli citor C. O. Ridings of Forest City, was in accord with the ruling, Judge Pless said.
