The same number of prizes will be given away on Thursday and Friday mornings, but the show will start at 9:30 instead of 10 o’clock in order to permit the guests to get home earlier. f The Tryon Home Economics class attended in a body and saw delicious food prepared in an at mosphere of romance. The picture was filled with delightful enter tainment from beginning to end. Jhe public is invited to attend on hursday morning or Friday morn ing beginning at 9:30 promptly. Scouts To Advance - * At the last Boy Scout meeting of the Tryon troop No. 1 the fol lowing boys planned to appear be fore the Court of Honor on Nov. 21, for the following Merit Badges: Paul Butler, second class; Charles Ford, second class; Harold Taylor and Bill Derby, bird study; Frank McFarland and Jimmy Jackson, conservation; Pickens Durham, first aid; Seth Vining, handcraft; Howard Reed, first class; George Cooksey, firemanship and path finding. C., Lefty Flynn Heads Bowling Club The Tryon Bowling League which was recently organized has raised to date $475 with which to build alleys and other equipment necessary to give Tryonites the enjoyment of bowling this season. Work on the alleys will begin right away. Officers elected recently are President, M. B. Flynn; vice president, Ben White; secretary treasurer, Earl Tisdale. Alleys committee John Moore, J. M. Bak er and Archie Butler; House Rules, George A. Cathey, Mrs. George Moore, C. W. Nessmith, Dr. J. E. Derby, Baxter Haynes. All min isters of the community and their families were voted complimentary memberships. Episcopal Rector’s Reception Friday The reception for the new Rec tor, the Rev. Charles L. McGav ern of the Church of the Holy Cross, will be held on Friday eve ning at the Parish House at 8:30. Public invited. Chamber Commerce Meets Thursday Everyone interested in the civic welfare of the community is in vited to attend the Chamber of Commerce meeting on Thursday evening at 7:30 at Missildine’s Hall.
