METHODIST RECEPTION The Mollie Morris Circle of the Tryon Methodist church honored their new pastor, the Rev. G. F. Hood, with a reception and inter esting program on Tuesday eve ning at the church auditorium and dining room. Miss Frances Buch anan was in charge of the pro gram. A number of religious songs were sung, the Rev. D. M. Mc- Geachy of the Presbyterian church and the dean of local ministers welcomed Mr. Hood for the min isters ; Mir. Hood responded with appreciation and assurance of hearty service to the church and community, prayer by M!rs. J. F. Black, trio by Mlrs. Joe Anderson Wr Mrs. U. G. Patterson, Miss Mar jorie Capps; solos by George D. Cooksey; duet by Mrs. Eun ! ce Watson and Miss Marv Gaze. Fol lowing the program the reception was held in the dining room of the church where Russian tea and cakes were served.
