Green Creek School Closed The Green Creek school is closed for about two weeks on account •of the big steam boiler bursting last Friday night. The County Board of Education has made ar rangements for a new boiler to be installed. Scout News At the Scout meeting on Tuesday night we discussed a good turn for the troop as a whole and decided to send a basket of fruit to some body as a Christmas gift. Street Decorating Started Tuesday The committee in charge of decorating Trade street with col* ored lights for the Christmas holi days began work on Tuesday Tom Costa, the chairman, aided by C. J. Lynch, the treasurer and others, have one electric pole near the Kell Furniture Co., into a Christ mas tree design with pine greens. Other poles on down the street will receive similar treatment. Then each “tree” will be decorated with attractive Christmas tree lights, giving Trade street a light ed Christmas tree way instead of having lights strung across the street. The committee is having to deco rate in proportion to the amount of funds raised. Treasurer Lynch states that $125 is still needed to put the program over as outlined by the committee but he has faith in Tryon andbelieves somebody who has not contributed will give the needed balance.
