Avant Electric Co., who are advertising Rand Electric Razors say they don’t cause radio interference . . . TRYON, N. C., TUESDAY, DEC. 13, 1938 Lynch Plantation Bought By Getzs C. J. Lynch announces the sale of part of his old plantation prop erty in the Hunting Country to Mr. and Mrs. James R. Getz of Chicago. The purchase includes, the old Lynch home place and 175 acres of land. Mr. and Mrs. Getz have extensive plans for the fu ture. They were recent guests at Pine Crest Inn. Both are excellent horseback riders and when they move here will have 35 miles of trail jumps near their home in the Hunting Country. Train Schedule Changes On Sundav, December 18th, Agent T. G. Miller announces that the Southern Railway train sche dule in Tryon will be changed. The morning train which now leaves Soartanburg at 10:10 and arrives here at 11:14. will leave Spartanburg at 8:25 beginning Sundav morning and arrive here at 9:22, reaching Asheville at 11:05. Mir. Miller states that the new schedule will connect with trains at Biltmore for Black Mountain, Old Fort, Marion, Hick ory, Statesville, Winston-Salem.
