Adams-Millis Lose * Close Game The Adams - Millis basketball team lost to Converse Mills 30-34 on Wednesday night at the Tryon gymnasium. Converse led the locals by 11 points in the first half but in the last half the Tryon team rallied and outplayed the visitors but could not over come the lead of the first half. Tryon All Star Girls lost to the Hendersonville girls 19-28 just prior to the boys’ game. Bill Blackwell of Milligan college, refereed the games. Tryon Hounds The Tryon Hounds will meet on Saturday, Dec. 24 at the Mizzen Top in the Hunting Country. Hounds will leave kennels at 10:30 a. m. i The Tryon Methodist program will be presented tonight at the church at 7:30 p. m. The pro gram consists of recitations and a pageant, “Gifts Unto the Manger”. The public is invited. St. Luke’s- hospital can use any surplus vegetables, fruit, jams, jellies, etc. A Christmas box for the hospital is being prepared at Jackson’s store and will be sent to them on Friday afternoon. Lucas is general sales and merchandise manager of the Duke Power Co., and has many friends in this section.
