Est. 1-31-28 TRYON, N C., SATURDAY, JAN. 21, 1939 Branscom Rites Today Green Creek, Jan. 20.—The funeral of.James Isaac Branscom, 72, merchant and planter of the Creek section of Polk coun will be conducted today at 2 m., at the Mills Creek Breth ren church, with the Rev. N. A. Melton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Paul Head, Henry Head, Lewis Head, Jim Head, Jessie Horn, Clint Greenway, Claud Gilbert and Ger ald Hines. Honorary pallbearers will be: W. D. Westbrook, Dr. W. T. Head, Ed Newman, W. M. Lambright, John landrum, L. W. McDowell, E. L. Broome and S. L. Hines. Mrs. Linda Reich Mrs. I4nda Griffith Reich, wid ow of C. Julian Reich, and a for mer resident of Tryon, died on January 11, at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Leland L.
