Tryon “Vinegar Works”
Public opinion is steadily grow
ing in favor of roadside control—
is steadily supporting the convic
tion that nobody has a right to
maintain unsightly premises along
the roadside, whether in town or
out. The roadsides leading into
Tryon have been greatly improved
in recent months—but the same
old “vinegar works” offend the
eyes of visitor and tourist almost
as soon as they cross the town
boundaries. As a town that exists
largely by the trade of its visi
tors and tourists, this is not “good
