C., SATURDAY, FEB. 25, 1939 Try on Boys Lose to Hendersonville Q The Tryon boys lost out in the fifteen seconds to Henderson ville high when Allison of Hender sonville intercepted a Tryon pass and dribbled down to score two points and win the game for the visitors. The Tryon boys pulled ahead in the final quarter when Chapman sank two free tosses to put Tryon out in front by one point. When Alex Beatson fouled out, Hendersonville had a similar chance to tie up the game but missed. The Tryon boys upon freezing the ball in the last half minute were unable to check the final goal. The entire Tryon team played excellent ball, with fine pass work, and guarding. Alex Beatson was the outstanding man on the floor with a total of thirteen points to credit. j The girls of Tryon again de- the Hendersonville lassies bv an 18'to 12 count. The first half of the game was slow with the local girls leading 5 to 1 at the end. The play picked up in the last half with both teams speeding up. Referee: Evington. Kiwanis Tuesday Dr. B. B.
