All-County Basketball
Teams Selected
The all-county boys and girls
basketball teams which are selected
each year by the coaches of the
county and the referee of the
tournament have bean compiled.
The selection was made on the to
tal po'nt basis whereby each vote
for the first team was given two
points and the each vote for the
second team was worth one point.
This method is universally used
due to the lack of agreement as
to team selections by coaches and
sports writers.
The Green’s Creek team, cham
pions of the county for two years
straight, placed three bovs on ths
mythical quintet. Horne, their high
scoring ace, and Fagan, center,
got unanimous votes, with twelve
points. Dutton Beatson, captain
of the Tryon team received next
highest, with eight points. Captain
A. Johnson of Green’s Creek and
Mclntyre of Stearns high, got the
remaining coveted places with sev
en points each to tie up for fourth
choice.

Fagan, Green’s Creek, 12 points.
