C., MONDAY MARCH 20, 1939 Colored Movies of Charleston Tonight Scout Executive R. M. Schiele k will show colored motion pictures |of historic Charleston, S. C., to night at the Polk County Boy Scout Court of Honor at the Parish House. The public is invited. The Court will start at 7:30. The mo tion pictures about 8:30. Junior Horsemanship Show Next Monday, the 27th Tryon’s first Junior Horseman ship show will be held next Mon day afternoon at 2:30 near Vaughn’s creek on the New Market road. There will be no entry fee and no admission charge. Ample seats for spectators. Wednesday’s Bulletin will give a list of classes. Entries will close Saturday after noon, March 25th. Many Enjoy Pilgrimage b Over fifty cars of people made '’the Garden Club pilgrimage to the Hunting Country on Saturday af ternoon. Judging from £fe visitors’ overheard expressions of “How charming, beautiful, lovely, fas cinating, etc.” an enjoyable time was had by the guests who drove over from Asheville, Gaffney and other nearby communities to view these interesting hemes so fasci . nating in their simplicity .and un iqueness. They marvelled at the realness of things and absence of artificiality. The places visited were Many Levels, Chinquapin Farm, Cotton Patch, and Little Orchard where punch and cake were served. Even the male members of the community are taking an ac tive interest m the venture, moti vated either by a love of nature or the acquisition of a bargain.
