Est. 1-31-28 Best Show Yet Tryon’s Horse and Hound Shows get better and better every year and this 14th big event at tracted approximately 5,000 people from all over the nation. Except for the wind the weather was per fect; beautiful spring growth everywhere and not a cloud in the sky. The Hound show was the biggest ever, said Manager C. W. Ballenger, and the Judge Roger Stone of Lexington, Ky., was high ly pleased with the whole show. Modest Col. Carter P. Brown, president of the Tryon Riding & Hunt club, said it was just another fine Tryon Horse' Show. But he and his various committees have been receiving the praise of the community for another job well done. The Spartanburg Herald and the Asheville Citizen this morn ing carried complete accounts of the show, giving in detail the win- of the various classes. Both also published some attrac tive pictures, taken by staff photo graphers and W. Thomas McGrath, of Sheridan, Wyoming. Lad Injured Ned Lindsey, 14-year-old. son of Mr. and MJrs. Rufus Lindsey of Lynn, who fell from the grand stand at the Horse Show on Wed nesday and hit his head against an automobile, was dismissed from St. Luke’s hospital today after treat ment for a scalp wound.
