Andrews, who has been principal of Stearns high school for seven years, and who was re elected for the next term, has of fered his resignation to the local board and it has been accepted. Mr. Andrews expects to return to his home in eastern North Carolina where he will supervise his farming and business inter ests . During his terms here many improvements were made in the physical properties of the school, and it was the unfinished condi tion of these that prompted him to accept the position for next term. 9:nce then appropriations have been made for completion of the gymnasium and ground beautifica tion. Since the work is under way. he said, he f&2ls that his personal interests will be better served by resigning. No successor has been named.—Asheville Citizen. Scouts Meet Tonight Tryon Boy Sicout Troop No. 1 will meet tonight at 8 o’clock at the school house. Scoutmaster W. A. Sch ; lletter urges all boys who expect to attend the camp at Lake Lanier to be sure to be present at the meeting tonight. Dog Clark and Eddie Smith furnished the fireworks here today as In man’s Eastern Carolina league en try defeated Adams-Millis, 9-4, in a game that was called because of rain at the end of the sixth. An afternoon game scheduled to be played at Inman, 9. C., was postponed because of wet grounds.
