Scouts Don’t Beg
It has been reported that some
colored boys have been soliciting
funds to pay their expenses at the
colored Boy Scout Camp. Such
practice is against the rules of
the Boy Scout organization and
friends are requested to please
give nothing to such boys. There
is no objection to boys working
for the money, and a number of
friends of Scouting give work for
this purpose. Boys who beg for
money may not even be connected
with the Scout troop and use the
name merely to get money. A true
Boy Scout will not beg. A Stout
works for his camp expenses either
at home or for somebody else.
The Bulletin $2 per year any
where in the United States.
