Lynn has been accepted for en
listment in the U. S. Army and he
left on Tuesday for Spartanburg
to report. He will be transferred
to his camp in the next few days.
Miss Alma Rector and Miss Jen
nie Sue Rector have arrived from
Alexandria, Va., for a month’s va
cation with Mr. and Mrs. N. R.
Rector, Sr., and have as their
guest, Miss Mary Holmes, who
will be here for two weeks.
Mi's. Walter Jones has returned
from a visit in Burlington and
Ralegh. She was accompanied
home by her daughter, Mrs. Wil
liam Spivey and little son, Bill, of
Raleigh.
Mrs. Eunice Stockard Watson
has returned home from New York.

Luke C. M. E. church on Wednes
