Mrs- J. E. Gaze, 67, step-mother
J. H. Gaze of Tryon, died on
Thursday afternoon at 4:30 in
Asheville. Funeral services will be
held in Greenville, S. C., on Sat
urday afternoon at 3 o’clock at
the residence, 834 Buncombe street.
Interment in Greenville. The fol
lowing children survive her: Mrs.
Alice Knight of Atlanta; Mrs.
Gertrude Ross of Detroit; J. D.
Gaze of Greenville; T. R. Gaze of
Asheville, and Miss Syble Gaze of
Asheville; and two step-sons, C.
W. Gaze of Asheville and J. H.
Gaze of Tryon.

club golf tournament this weekend
will be made by the members
themselves choosing their own
partners. The combined handicaps
will be divided by two to arrive at
a fair handicap for players of dif
ferent skill. The player with a
6 handicap plaving with a partner
having a handicap of 12 will have
a joint handicap of 9. Edgar
Rowe is expecting a good turn out
for the tournament.
