Mrs. Edith Mjissildine Col lum finds it in the Duluth, Minn., Herald as follows: “Raleigh, N. C. t Aug. 28.—1 f this story gets around, the world may beat a path to the door of E. G. Edney, farmer of the Pacolet val ley community in Polk county. “J. A. Wilson, Polk county farm agent, reported that Edney set a rat trap and covered the trigger with “mash”, or cowfeed. The rodents gathered about the trap in a semi-circle for a feast, and when the trap was sprung, five rats were killed. “Wilson said that at the same time Edney caught two ‘grand *|"*, addy’ rats in another trap.” Softball Monday The first game of the three-game final series to determine the Tryon softball championship will be played on Monday afternoon at 6:30 at Harmon Field between the Bushwhackers and Kilowatters.
