Inn Closes And Hotel Opens The change in season is mani fested in Tryon not only by the opening of school and the ripen ing harvest but also by the return ing of many winter residents and the change of management from summer inns to winter hotels. The Lake Lanier Inn which has been operated this summer, by E. A. Emmermann has closed and Oak Hall hotel will also be operated by Mr. Emmermann and will open its dining room ofi Thursday of this week. Thousand Pines Inn op erated by Mrs. L. L. Meegan, will open for the winter season about the middle of this month. Miss Jean McSwain of Mill Spring route 3, underwent an ap pendix operation at St. Luke’s hos pital today. Burnett. A. J. Harrell, farm agent of the State College Extension Ser vice, estimates that Hyde county farmers will bring 98 per cent of their land under the AAA program/ this year.
