Tryon - Saluda Eleven
Defeats Inman High
The Tryon - Saluda high foot
ball team defeated Inman high 7
to 0 yesterday in a well-played
football game at Harmon Field.
The visitors as predicted brought
a shifty, well-coached eleven to
the local gridiron and all but eked
out a scoreless tie. The game ended
in a rousing finish with both elev
ens having possession of the ball
during the last two minutes of
play. Inman’s passing attack was
b oken up when Tryon’s quarter
back, Jones, intercepted a pass in
midfield and ran fifteen yards be
fore being downed. Then by a
series of beautiful passes with
Green tossing with remarkable ac
curacy? to Jones and Dutton Beat
son a touchdown was chalked up.
