Airplane Pictures at Kiwanis County Agent J. A. Wilson will show aerial maps of Polk countv, taken from an airplane, at the Ki wanis club meeting on Tuesday at 1 p. m., at Hotel Tryon. The program will be in charge of P. L. Barnette. TRYON, N. C., MONDAY, William Dimsdale William Nesbitt Dimsdale, 77, of Mill Spring, died Sunday night at the hospital in Tryon. Funeral services will be held on Tu'esday at 1 p. m., at Cooper Gap Baptist church with the Rev. Mr. Crawford and the Rev. Mr. Huntley officiat ing. The deceased is survived by an adopted son, Furman Jackson, with whom he lived, also two broth ers, J. P. and J. C. Dimsdale, of Mill Spring section and a sister, Miss Dora Dimsdale, of Ruther fordton. Prize for Best Window President K. A. Bowen of the Tryon Chamber of Commerce stated this morning that the Chamber of Commerce would offer a small attractive prize to the merchant having the best window display during the holidays. The judges will be announced later. Mr. Bowen stated that the Cham ber of Commerce was interested in promoting more trade with the home merchants and that the win dow display contest would help at tract the attention of the buying public to the high quality mer chandise on sale at Tryon stores. Hoots Renlaces Seitz As District Forester R. J. Seitz, U. SI District For ester, who has made his headquar ters in Trvon for several months, has been promoted to the Gastonia office to serve Gaston and Lincoln counties. W. R. Hoots, district conservationist, will succeed Mr. Seitz here. Mr. and Mrs. Seitz will move about the 16th of this month. DEC. 11, 1939
