Subject, Continued on Back Pag* Tryon High Wins Opening Game The Tryon high boys came thru with a fast game Friday night to win out over North Greenville Academy by a 15 to 16 count. The locals put up a tight defense to limit the visitors to two field goals during the first half and in the third quarter led by five points which was the greatest lead during the game. The Junior College boys played an aggregate game featured by their stellar five man zone defense. Hipp and Martin were their big guns and turned in a fine brand of basketball. The Tryon boys due to the fast pace set up by the visitors used only six men against their big opponents and all six boys gave a good account of themselves. Dutton Beatson, Vinin? and McFarland did all the scoring for the locals. The next game on the schedule will bring Stearns high of Co lumbus to Tryon next Tuesday night. December 19th. This game should draw a large crowd and ad basketball fans are urged not to miss this p-ame. The game will start at 7:30 and be over by 8:30. Game Summary: Tryon (16) Taylor, 0; Beatson.
