Lanier Club to Hold Open House At Its Fiftieth Birthday Party At the next meeting of the Lanier Club, to be held at 3:30 p. m., at the Library on Thursday, January 4th, the Club will cele brate its Fiftieth Birthday. After the usual program which will be devoted briefly to a talk on Sidney Lanier by Dr. Henry N. Snyder, Presidents of Wofford College in Spartanburg, the club will hold open house to the entire town of Tryon with a birthday party. The past presidents will receive the Mrs. Junius Judson of Rochester and Tryon, spent the holidays at the Porter Fearey Featherbed Farm, Hopewell, N. J. She will arrive this week at her Tryon home “Possum Trot” in Gillette Woods, and will have as her guest, Mrs. Harry Otis Poole. Donald Wing is spending the holidays in Tryon.
