S. G. Letter Carriers To Hold Meet Rural Letter Carriers of the Fourth Congressional district, com prising the counties of Spartan burg, Union, Greenville, Laurens in upper South Carolina, will hold a one day convention at Landrum on Thursday, February 22, in the auditorium of' the graded school building. Luncheon will be serv ed the group in .the dining room of the First Baptist church. An attendance of more than 200 is expected, and they will hear addresses by Congressman Joseph R. Bryson of the 4th district; W. K. Durham, postmaster at Land rum and W. M, Lambright, former mayor of Landrum. The meeting is expected to adjourn at 5 p. m. NOTICE Proposals are hereby solicited to be received in the office of Post Office Inspector ML R. Morgan, Jacksonville, Fla., up to and in cluding March 24th, 1940, to furn ish suitable quarters for Post Office at Tryon, N. C., for a period of five years from September 12, 1940.
