Court of Honor
Held Monday
The Polk County Boy Stout
Court of Honor was held at the
Parish House on Mondav night at
8 o’clock. Sitting on the Court
with Scout Executive R. M. Sthiele
were the chairman, Dr. C. Arthur
Lincoln, Major W. A. Schilletter,
G. I. Henderson, C. H. Helms,
Major Bernard Sharp, Robert
Dick, R. H, Brady and assistant
Scout Executive! Caldwell Warlick.
The meeting was opened with
prayer by Dr. Lincoln and closed
with the Indian benediction led by
Mr. Schiele. Scouts advanced in
work were Allen Bishop, tender
foot; Harrison Bridgeman and Ed
win Cromer, first class; Holland
Brady, athletics; Edwin Cromer,
bookbinding; Tom Melton, cycling;
Edwin Cromer, dairying; Dick
Arthur and Tom Mielton, forestry ;
Phil Morris, handicraft; Phil Mor
ris and Edwin Cromer, safety;
James Baker, scholarship; Phil
Morris, star rank; Dick Arthur,
and Tom Melton, life rank.

Manager C. W. Nessmith of
Tryon Theatre reports that on
Saturday, June Bth, the first 300
natrons will be given a free candy
bar of “Bit-O-Honey.”

Buys Property In
Hunting Country
J. J. Barnett has sold his home
and farm in the Hunting Country
to George T. Townley of New
York and Mellen C. Martin of
Chicago. The sale was made thru
C. J. Lynch. The property is in
the neighborhood of the new home
of Jack Kimberly of Neenah, Wis.,
now under construction in the Mor
gan Chapel section.
Miss Helen Denfeld will arrive
on Wednesday to join Miss Gene
vieve Washburn for a trip in the
west this summer. They will leave
on Thursday.
