Eat. 1-31-28 Kiwanians Enjoy Music Program By Official Kiwanis Lieut.-Governor Horace Easom of Shelby, head of Division ■One of the Carolinas Kiwanis disr ™rict gave an interesting musical at the Tryon club on Tuesday at Hotel Tryon and fol lowed it with an inspiring talk on the work of local Kiwanis Clubs, and what it means to be a Ki wanian; to keep the club a me dium of community service, a reservoir of enthusiasm, fo** build ing fellowship and lasting friend ships. Governor Easom was as sisted in the musical program by Mrs. A. C. Dellinger of Shelby, as pianist. Mrs. Easom was also a guest of the Club and Kiwanian J. E. Shipman of Hendersonville was present to make up his at tendance. No Solicitors For Red Cross Two reports have come to me 5Ff a white person or persons collect ing money from colored people for the Red Cross War Relief Fund. No one, white or colored, is au thorized. to call on any one for money for the Red Cross at this time; and no money thus solicited has been turned in. Any one who is solicited should get the name of the person col letting money in the name of the Red Cros° and report to me at once. Anyone thus soliciting funds .outside of designated places or receiving con tributions will be liable to prose cution for getting monev under false pre f enses.
