Polk County residents and
neighboring citizens are cor
dially invited to come to Har
mon Field on July 4th for an
all day outing. There will be
baseball games, softball games,
music, square dancing, other
games and contests. Plenty of
free lemonade and ice water.
Everybody irtvited to bring
basket lunch for noon and
supper. Bring your friends
and have a good time. Each
family or group can have
their own table and eat to
gether.
Anyone desiring to play any
kind of game or contest is in
vited to come. All musicians
are urged to bring their in
struments.

Farmers Federation
Pays Dividends
Asheville, June 19.—Approxi
mately 4,500 stockholders of the
Farmers Federation will share in
a three per cent semi-annual divi
dend payable July Ist on both
common and preferred stock of
record June 15, acording to an
announcement by James G. K. Mc-
Clure, president of the farm co
operative.
This will be the federation’s
13th cosecutive semi-annual divi
dend payment. It was declared at
a recent meeting of the directors
at which favorable reports were
submitted on the organization’s
business during the first half of
Ihe year.
