OWEN’S PHARMACY NYAL SERVICE DRUG STORE Laughs A-Plenty The Old Mill Playhouse at High land Lake, Flat Rock, opened to a capacity house on Thursday night with the comedy “Mary’s Other Husband.” The picturesque old structure showed the results of intensive work in order to effect a July 4 opening. The audience —enthusiastic and responsive—came from near and far, some in cars, others afoot. The actors —all professional— werq in excellent form despite lack of time for rehearsals. “Mary’s Other Husband” was, as advertised, “hilariously funny”. Judging by the spontaneous laugh ter, the audience evidently thought so. The play, featuring Marion Speed, will run through July 13. At the end, Captain Keith, Pro duction Director, spoke a few words and introduced Mrs. Camine, the Producer, who, charming in appearance, was equally so in speech. General Director Robroy Far quhar, who, with others, worked tirelessly to achieve a smooth and successful opening, is be con gratulated on the result achieved. When the curtain fell, we were truly sorry to bid the actors fare well, but look forward to seeing them in the next production which will begin July 16 and run through the 20th—a sparkling comedy en titled “Penny Wise.” Genevieve Jackson.
