jf'vdlelin’s Largest Ad
' The largest single advertise
ment ever published in the world’s
smallest daily newspaper, is on
the inside pages of today’s Bulle
tin to announce the first showing
cf the new 1941 Chevrolet on Sat
urday at the Tryon Motor Co.
This ad uses up almost all the
available margins of the two cen
ter pages, but it shows how ef
fective large ads can be made
available for a little paper.

TRYON, N. C.,
Tryon Motor Co., Invites
Public to See the New
Chevrolet on Saturday
The new 1941 Chevrolet will be
on display all day, Saturday, Sept.
21st at the Tryon Motor Co. show
room and the local agency invites
the public to come in and see the
new car. Tryon Grapes. Saluda
Apples, Aple Juice and crackers
will be served to visitors viewing
the car.
Manager Claude Shuth says the
new car is a thing of beauty as
well as a marvel in mechanical
performance, and is the last word
in comfort.
Mr. Smith says Chevrolet led
the industry in sales in 1940, and
expects to go even farther with the
tw Q series of new cars, in which
streamline styling, and larger,
roomier bodies, combine with num
erous mechanical improvements to
produce the finest Chevrolets ever
built.
The show room will be open from
9 a. m., until time of closing. Ev
erybody is invited.
Mr. Smith says:
“The famous Chevrolet vacuum
power shift, which created a sen
sation when introduced in 1939, is
standard on all models of both
series, at no extra cost.
“Bodies are longer, wider, and
much more massive looking. Their
appearance mass is concentrated
near the ground by changes in body
and fender contour, as well as by
judicious use of decoration and
trim. Windshields, rear windows,
and upper portion of sides of
body are increased in slope, and
the tops of side windows are one
inch lower than in 1940.”
