C., will attend the meeting of the
Rotary Club of Tryon on Friday,
November Ist, in his official capa

pin, and the other officers and mem
bers of the Rotary Club of Tryon
to consult with them and advise
on matters relating to club ad
ministration and Rotary service
activities.

Postmaster W. H. Stearns says
that parcel post shipments to many
foreign countries have been dis
continued on account of the war,
but that to those countries still
open to parcel post, packages will
be accepted now for Christmas
mailing . . . .Virginia Kelly of
Tryon, sophomore at Radcliffe col
lege, designed all the costumes for
the Radcliffe Dramatic club's first
play of the season, and she helped
make them. The play was Aria Da
Capo by Edna St. Vincent Millay.

and Tryon, a graduate of Ran
dolph-Macon, a talented musician
and writer, has accepted a posi
tion with the Rockefeller Founda
tion at Rockefeller Center, New

that have faded beyond recogni
tion can get new ones free of any

James Scripps Booth of the noted

coming to Tryon for about 30 years
and expects to return again in
