FIRST HAND REPORT
The latest news of the Triennial
Counvention of the Episcopal
church will be brought to Tryon
on Monday afternoon by Mrs.
Woolridege of Asheville who has
just returned from this great
gathering. She will tell of what
the leaders and representaives of
this body decided as to the policy
of the Episcopal church in regard
to matters of great public interest,
such as discussions on the marri
age and divorce laws of the
church, the giving of represen
tation to women in the Councils of
the church and th« status of the
church in Japan.
This meeting is under the aus
pices of the Woman’s Auxiliary
and will be held fn the Parish
house at 3 o’clock instead of the
usual hour. Tea will be served by
the Misses Pitkin who urge a
large number to be present as
their guests.

Miss Georgion Honored
Miss Mabel Georgion, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. M. Georgion, has
been offered the honor to be a
member in the “Beta Pi! Theta”
fraternity which is a national hon
ov society, and only students of
the highest scholarship are ad
mitted to its membership.

over the Spartanburg radio sta
tion WSPA on Monday, November
. 4th, from 11:45 to 12 noon, accord
ing to an advertisement in today’s
Bulletin, which invites the public
to hear him.

Alys Thompson have returned to
Tryon and are at the Spanish
Court.
