Schreyer of the Tryon Methodist church. His topic will be “He Profits Most Who Sferves Best.” Basketball Friday The Adams-Millis girls’ basket ball team will play the Grey Hos iery Mill girls on Friday at 7 p. m., at the Stearns gymnasium in Columbus. The Adams-Millis boys will play the Sbuthern Bleachery boys immediately following, about 8:15. Big Dance Friday At Sunnydale Log Cabin Ernest Kerhulas has announced that he has engaged the Trixy Wells Band-ettes orchestra to play for a dance at Sunnydale on Fri day evening following their per formance at Tryon Theatre. Miss Margaret Bomar has re turned to Richmond, Va., after spending Thanksgiving holidays with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. E. E. Bomar. Dr Bomar accompan ied her to Richmond, and will visit his son, Edward Bomar, Associat ed Press correspondent at Balti more. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kerhulas will have as Thanksgiving guests, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Swann, Jr., of Waynesville, Mr. and Mrs. James Betenbaugh and Ernest Kerhulas, 3rd, of Union, S. C., and Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Goodman of Greenville, S. C. Harold Shuttles, interior design er and graduate in architecture at the Carnegie Institute, will be the guest speaker at the Decem ber meeting of the Lanier club on Thursday, December sth. Mr. Shuttles, has studied in Europe and was formerly with R. H. Macy of New York. Lindsey Taylor has returned to Columbus after treatment at St. Luke’s hospital. At a meeting of the directors of the Riding & Hunt club it was unanimously decided to have the Horse and Hound Show and all other activities during 1941. Miss Bertha Thompson of Mill Spring is in St. Luke’s hospital for a tonsilectomy.
