Tea De Luxe to Be Served
At Guild Christmas Bazaar
A Tea De Luxe —what an Eng
lishman would call a “high tea”—
will be served to each and every
one who comes to the Christmas
Bazaar of St. Agnes Guild, which
will be held in the Tryon Parish
House on Tuesday, December 3rd,
from 3 to 6:30 p. m.
Sandwiches, cookies, cakes, and
as much or as little conversation
as you like, will all come as a part
of the tea. It will also be a veri
table bargain tea, because the
price will be included in the price
of admission to the Bazaar—a pal
try 25 cents.
The tea will be the central at
traction of the Bazaar, which this
year is raising money for the
Tryon branch of British War Re
lief, in addition to funds for the
Guild’s regular works of help and
charity. Os the proceeds from
the Bazaar, 15 percent will go
to British War Relief.
The patronesses of the tea will
be Mrs. Charles McGavem, Miss
Helen Ingalls, Miss Marian Cling
an, Mjiss Sidney Clingan, Mrs.
Edward Addis, Mrs. Julian C.
Calhoun, Mrs. I. Mi. Kelly, Miss
Genevieve Jackson.
The young misses who will serve
the tea will be Margaret Sprague,
Hope Schilletter, Elizabeth Anne
Vining, Kathleen Andrews, Jane
Merriwether and Ann Brundage.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lawrence
have returned from a visit at
