T. Barnette will present the playlet, “The Arrival of Santa”, Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 12 o’clock in the school auditorium. On the stage at first will be seen Laura Ann Nanney, Billy S'chilletter and Ray Melton read ing a long letter to Santa. Pres ently Santa, played by Volney Barnette, Jr., arrives, but at the front door and without his pack, much to the surprise of the chil dren. He tells the children that he has lost the Spirit of Christ mas • because children everywhere have become so selfish and that he can’t give any toys until he finds it. The children promise to help him find the Spirit; but are very much puzzled since it is something that can’t be seen. How ever, with' the aid of some of their schoolmates, which include Bill Goodwin, Sue Hipps, Mar garet Johnston, Vance MlcCown, Patricia Parker and Wiley White and the brownies and the fairies, they do find the “Spirit”.
