The only games that have been heard from are the Stearns and Green Creek games in which both games were taken .by Green Creek teams. Both of these games were won by a large score. I wish to thank Green Creek for sending in their schedule and information about their players. I hope that, the schools in the county will follow their example. Continued on Back Page TRYON, N C., TUESDAY, DEC. 24, 1940 Adams-Millis Basketeers Lose to Rotary 30-29 The Hendersonville Times-News reporting the basketball game be tween the Hendersonville Rotary Club team and the Tryon Adams- Millis team on Saturday at the Hendersonville gym says it was close and thrill—packed through out. Rotary led 13 to 9 at the half, but in the third period Ad ams-Millis pulled into a 20-20 tie. With two minutes to play, Drake caged a field goal to put Rotary one point ahead. The winners then got possession of the ball and “froze” it until the final whistle. Williams got 11 points and Shy tie played a beautiful floor game to stand out for the Rotarians.
