Adams-Millis Basketeers
Lose to Rotary 30-29
The Hendersonville Times-News
reporting the basketball game be
tween the Hendersonville Rotary
Club team and the Tryon Adams-
Millis team on Saturday at the
Hendersonville gym says it was
close and thrill—packed through
out. Rotary led 13 to 9 at the
half, but in the third period Ad
ams-Millis pulled into a 20-20 tie.
With two minutes to play, Drake
caged a field goal to put Rotary
one point ahead. The winners
then got possession of the ball
and “froze” it until the final
whistle.
Williams got 11 points and Shy
tie played a beautiful floor game
to stand out for the Rotarians.
Mel and Bill Hines starred for
Adams-Millis.
