Johnson Casualties were listed as several fence posts, yards of garden wire, two wash tubs, one prisoner and one that got away, here last night when Amos Foster, Deputy from the sheriff’s department gave chase to a car loaded with 15 gal lons of mountain whiskey and af ter several minutes pursuit from highways into byways, across va cant lots and gardens, thru yards and almost into the side of a house in the eastern part of town. After the dust from the driver’s fleeing feet cleared the deputy found himself in sole charge of the Ford car, the 15 gallons of non tax-paid whiskey and a girl occu pant who was booked at the coun ty jail as Grace Hendricks, of Landrum, S'. C. Arrest of the alleged driver, who was recogniz ed, is expected soon. Dr. Palmer at Rotary Dr. M. C. Palmer will be in charge of the Tryon Rotary club program on Friday at 1 p. m. at Sdnnydale.
