EPISCOPAL: Church of the Continued on Back Page TRYON HIGH DEFEATS FLAT ROCK 38 to 28 The Tryon high basketball team overcame an early lead and coast ed ahead to down Flat Rock high last night at the Tryon gym by a 38 to 28 score. The visitors brought a fast breaking, scrappy bunch to Tryon and kept the play going at a rapid rate. The Tryon boys, showing their lack of prac tice during the past exam week, played spotty basketball with oc casional spurts of excellent pass work. Vining was the outstanding man on the floor with his fine floor game and aggressive play, racking up 15 points alone. Mc- Farland playing only part of the game, tallied 11 points. The Flat Rock boys had a brilliant player .in Edney who featured in practically every point his team made.. The game was played before a very small crowd, being restrict ed on account of the danger of influenza. Tryon’s next home game will be on Friday night, January 24th, with Stearns high of Columbus.
