C., TUESDAY, FEB. 11, 1941 CURB REPORTER The Polk County Boy Stout Court of Honor will be held on Monday at the Parish House, 7:30 p. m Town Manager C. H. Helms left this morning on the Good Will Tour of Florida. He joined the party at Henderson ville. They will have lunch at Augusta, Gt., where they will be greeted by Mayor J. M. Woodall and secretary L. S. Moody of the Chamber of Commerce. Tonight they will stay at Hotel Dempsey in Mlacon, Ga., with Mayor Charles Bowden and secretary Lee S. Trimble of the Chamber of Com merce as hosts New sub- scriptions to The Bulletin are go ing to Sam Smith of Charlotte, D. P. Mitchell of Gillette Woods, Maria Marko of New York, -<mes H. Kimberly of Neenah, Wis., and a renewal to Paul Hamilton of Pauline, SI. C Mrs. Harkness Smith says volun teer workers are needed to sew warm clothing for British children who are living in bomb shelters. The Community Players need a barn for a little theatre. Mon day night the Community Play ers was organized at the Oak Hall hotel by about thirty en thusiastic persons representing various sections of Polk County. This is the outgrowth of the Drama Institute conducted here the last week in January by Jack Knapp, drama director of the National Recreation Association. A constitution was adopted pro viding for two classes of member ship: active with annual dues of sl, and associate with dues of $2 per year. Charter membership will be open until the annual meeting in April. The following organization was set up to be in office until the annual meeting, April 28: Chair man, John L. Brown; secretary, Miarcus L. Nash; treasurer, Mrs. Ralph C. Erskine. The Executive Committee consisting of the fol lowing persons, each one named being in charge of the designated department: Marcus L. Nash, Membership; Miss Elisabeth A. Watson, Play Selection; Mrs. Ralph C. Erskine, Promotion; Mortimer E. Flack, Production; Dr. C. W. McCall, Experimental Production; John L. Brown, Ex tension. The next meeting of the Com munity Players will be Monday night, February 24th, at the Oak Hall Hotel. Regular meetings will be on the fourth Monday night of each month at some des'gnated place.
